Your cold storage equipment works hard. When it drifts, you need someone who can calibrate it accurately, document it properly and provide the certificate before it becomes a problem.
We provide UKAS accredited calibration and servicing for laboratory fridges and freezers. Whether it's a routine annual calibration or you've had an excursion and need to act quickly, we'll come to you, carry out the work to ISO/IEC 17025 standard and get your certificate issued within 3 days as standard.

Calibration is a reference check. We measure how your fridge or freezer is actually performing and give you a traceable, documented record of those results. We don't adjust or modify equipment as part of the process.
Unless you've provided decision rules, we won't issue a pass or fail. What you get is an accurate picture of how your fridge or freezer is performing against your required tolerances, which is exactly what your auditor needs to see.

We offer UKAS on-site temperature calibration of fridges and freezers across a range of -90 °C to +100 °C.

Some labs need calibration only while others need a full service visit. We can do either, or both together which saves you time and means your equipment is calibrated and in good working order from a single visit.
A single-point calibration confirms your sensor is accurate. But for critical or regulated storage, you may also need to know that the whole storage space stays within limits, not just the point where the probe sits.
That's what temperature mapping is for.

We carry out UKAS calibration across a wide range of fridge and freezer types:
Not sure if we cover your specific model? Just ask and we'll tell you.
The display on your unit shows you what it thinks the temperature is, not necessarily what it actually is. Over time, sensors drift, and the gap between the displayed reading and the real internal temperature can widen without any obvious signs. Calibration gives you a verified, documented record of actual performance, which is what your auditor needs to see.
It depends on your regulatory requirements. If you're working to GxP, MHRA, or similar frameworks, UKAS accredited calibration is usually expected. If you're unsure what your audit requires, we're happy to talk it through.
Unless you've provided decision rules, we won't determine whether your equipment has passed or failed, that’s your call, based on your own requirements. What we'll give you is an accurate, documented record of how your equipment is performing. If you've reviewed the results and have concerns, we're happy to talk them through with you.
Thermometers drift as components and electronics deteriorate over time, it’s an expected characteristic of thermometers. Some are particularly sensitive and will change if it's knocked or exposed to extreme temperature changes however, even in a fairly stable environment, the characteristics of a thermometer will not be static over time.
Tell us what you need and we'll come back to you within 2 working days.
