System Suitability Testing
System Suitability Testing, or SST, is a routine check that confirms your TOC analyser is working correctly and producing reliable results. It's a requirement under the pharmacopoeial standards that govern TOC testing in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Using certified reference materials from an independently accredited source, such as those supplied by Altus Science, is what gives you the strongest evidence of instrument performance and full traceability for your compliance records.
Compliance with pharmacopoeial standards
TOC testing in pharmaceutical manufacturing is governed by internationally recognised standards, primarily USP Chapter <643> and European Pharmacopeia Chapter 2.2.44. These cover the requirements for TOC testing of pharmaceutical water, including purified water and water for injection.
The certified reference materials we use, supplied by Altus Science. are aligned with these standards, giving your quality team the documented evidence needed to demonstrate compliance.
